Seeking and Engaging the Lost in Our Communities

As we consider perceived obstacles that keep us from meaningfully engaging with the lost in our communities, at our workplace, and in our neighborhoods, we’ll look at attitudes and barriers that may be preventing us from loving our neighbors and showing them the beauty of the gospel. Are there evangelism methods that used to work well in our culture but are no longer as effective? Explore ways that we can engage the lost in this session!

MORNING WORKSHOP

Disciplemaking in a Culturally Diverse Society

The struggle is real – but it’s also rewarding when we see barriers broken, connections made, and healthy bridges built for the Kingdom of Jesus. We will explore how to grow relationships with people from different cultures and ethnicities and embrace the diversity of our experiences while pursuing unity in Christ.  Our desire is to encourage and equip you, leaving you with an expanded tool belt to help you engage people of any background.

AFTERNOON WORKSHOP

Thirsting for God: Quiet Time

“As the deer pants for the water, so my soul pants for You, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the Living God.”(Ps. 42:1)
We desire to experience increased intimacy with Jesus, and as we discuss quenching our thirst for the Lord through Quiet Times, we’ll also learn how we can guide young adults to truly engage in the word and in prayer, ultimately drawing deeper into the Father’s presence.

AFTERNOON WORKSHOP

It’s Not Your Work – Revolutionizing How You See GOD & Career

Here’s the problem: we often settle for a small world in which my work is mine and it’s about what I do. But there’s good news. GOD is eager to draw us into a much bigger, more thrilling world where He is at the center, where the work is His and where lives are changed. As He shows us more of Himself & His heart for work, our jobs take on a new kind of purpose and potential to see disciples raised up.

AFTERNOON WORKSHOP

Culture of 20s Today: a panel discussion

The culture of young adults in our post-Christian society is not only influenced by social media, technology, peers and the divisive political climate, but also pandemic-induced anxiety, depression, isolation and loneliness. And based on a study by the Barna Group, fewer than 1% of the young adult population in the US have a biblical world view. Understanding how these influences affect the choices and priorities of this generation is crucial to ministering to them.

AFTERNOON WORKSHOP

From The Walking Wounded to Wounded Healers
Kyle Bowman

How do we heal the wounds and break the cycle of sexual brokenness, particularly as it relates to LGBTQ+ issues? It requires an understanding of how we got here and knowing where to go from here. Kyle Bowman will share her insights on how we can go from living as the walking wounded to thriving as wounded healers.
